Letting Go

Letting Go

Mom used to share with me years ago that sometimes we experience a lot of emotional pain when we are grabbing ahold of something that we need to let go of. We are holding tight to thoughts that are tied to our past, even what happened earlier today. When we do that, we create emotional pain and tension and stress within our body.
If you are experiencing some form of stress or mental anguish that you know is because you are holding onto something you have no control over, that you want to see justified or reconciled, but you are trying to do it in your strength, I invite you to let go. I know it sounds cliche, but there really is a reality that His Kingdom is so much greater than anything that we could ever do in our own strength and efforts by trying to grab and clutch and hold onto something that is meant to let go. So be encouraged today. May life become richer and richer because you are letting go of the things that you do not need. You are letting go of the things that do not resonate with your new nature. The old has passed away, and behold, Christ already has made all things new. He’s just waiting for you to step out and live this adventurous life where you are learning and seeing who you truly are in Him.
So let’s let go of the things that create the stressors and the pain within us. Let’s start praying and asking God to move in those circumstances. Let’s let go and trust Him this day.
